What Personal Information Do We Collect?

The categories of personal information BlueLinx collects depends on how you interact with us, our Services, and the requirements of applicable law. Usage Information. We may collect information about how you interact with the Services. This may include information such as the dates and time you visit the Services, the page you view, referring / exit URLS, your browser type, and the domain name of your internet service provider.     We disclose your personal information to third parties for a variety of business purposes, including to provide our Services, to protect us or others, or in the event of a major business transaction such as a merger, sale, or asset transfer, as described below.

    We may disclose personal information with our affiliated entities or third parties, such as trusted business partners and service providers, to help provide the Services, deliver our products and services, process payments, perform statistical analysis, protect against potential fraud, or perform any other functions consistent with the operation of the Services. Also, if any bankruptcy, liquidation, or reorganization proceeding is brought by or against us, your personal information may be considered a BlueLinx asset that may be sold or transferred to third parties.

    How Long Do We Keep Personal Information?

    We retain personal information we collect as described in this Privacy Policy for as long as you use our Services, or as necessary to fulfill the purpose(s) for which it was collected, provide our Services, resolve disputes, establish legal defenses, conduct audits, pursue legitimate business purposes, enforce our agreements, and comply with applicable laws.     How Do We Protect Personal Information?

    BlueLinx takes commercially reasonable measures to secure and protect personal information on the Services. Nevertheless, no system is entirely secure. We cannot guarantee that personal information that users of the Services transmit or otherwise supply will be secure.

    By using our Services or providing personal information to us, you agree that we may communicate with you electronically regarding security, privacy, and administrative issues relating to your use of our Services.     Children’s Information

    Our Services are intended for a general audience and are not directed to individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information about children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information in violation of applicable law, we will delete any personal information we have collected, unless we have a legal obligation to keep it.

You may stop or restrict the placement of certain Technologies on your device or remove them by adjusting your preferences in your browser as your device permits. However, if you adjust your preferences, our Services may not work properly. Please note that cookie-based opt-outs are not effective on mobile applications. However, you may opt-out of personalized advertisements on some mobile applications by following the instructions for Android,, iOS,, and others.     Supplemental Notice for Residents of Certain U.S. States and California Notice at Collection

    This Supplemental Notice is for residents of states that have adopted comprehensive privacy legislation and others that may come into effect from time to time (collectively, "Applicable State Laws"). The following table describes the categories of personal information we have collected and whether we have disclosed that personal information for a business purpose (e.g., to a service provider).

  • Business or Commercial Purpose for Collecting Personal Information from Consumers

    BlueLinx may have collected personal information for any of the business or commercial purposes set forth in the "How Do We Use Personal Information?" section of this Privacy Policy.

    BlueLinx will only keep your personal information for so long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is permitted or required by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements).

    Categories of Personal Information Disclosed to Third Parties

    In the 12-month period preceding the date of this Privacy Policy, BlueLinx may have disclosed the categories of personal information that we collect to our service provider-vendors, such as web hosting services, IT outsourcing providers, marketing providers, our customers, suppliers, and any other third party described in the Privacy Policy.

    Under applicable law, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information (subject to applicable exceptions, in each case):

  • Right to Know: The right to know what personal information we have collected about you, including the categories of personal information, the categories of sources form which the personal information is collected, the business or commercial purpose for collecting, selling, or sharing such personal information, the categories of third parties to whom we have disclosed personal information, and the specific pieces of personal information that we have collected about you.

  • Right to Delete: The right to delete personal information that we have collected from you.

  • Right to Correct Inaccurate Personal Information: The right to correct inaccurate personal information that we maintain about you.

  • Right to Limit Use and Disclosure of Sensitive Personal Information: We do not use or disclose your "sensitive" personal information outside of limited purposes, such as the following: (1) performing our Service or providing goods, (2) detecting security incidents, (3) resisting malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal actions, (4) ensuring physical safety, (4) for short-term transient use, including certain non-personalized advertising, (5) maintaining or servicing accounts, providing customer service, verifying customer information, or providing similar services, and (6) to verify and maintain the quality or safety of a service or product to improve, upgrade, or enhance a service or product. As such, the right to limit our use of sensitive personal information does not apply. Additionally, we do not use your sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.

  • Right to Opt-Out of Certain Uses: The right to opt out of the sale/share of your personal information for targeted advertising and use in profiling decisions. Please note that we do not use your personal information for any such purposes, and as such, the right to opt-out does not apply.

  • Right to Not Receive Discriminatory Treatment: You have the right to not receive discriminatory or retaliatory treatment by us for the exercise of any of the rights conferred under applicable law.


  • How to Exercise Your Rights

    You can exercise any of your rights described in this Privacy Policy by Contact Us as described above. We will process your request in accordance with applicable laws.

  • Verification Methods. Once you submit a request, we will verify that you are the consumer to which the request pertains by matching the identifying information provided by you (e.g., name, email address, account-related information) to the information we maintain. Depending on the type of request you submit, we will attempt to match either two or three of the data points you provided. If we are unable to verify your request with the data points you provided, we may reach out to you for additional information to verify your request.

  • Authorized Agent. You can select an "authorized agent" to submit requests on your behalf. We will require the authorized agent to have a written authorization confirming that authority. We may also require you to verify your own identity directly with us. Once your authorized agent is verified, they may submit a request in directly as described above.

  • Appeal. You may have the right to appeal our decision or response to your request. To exercise your right to appeal, you can submit and appeal request using the same method used to submit your original request, including by contacting us as described in this Privacy Policy.
