Approved Carrier Information

Important Information for Approved Carriers.

We are excited to share that BlueLinx has launched a strategic, multi-year initiative to modernize all of the foundational software systems we use to conduct business with our carriers, suppliers, and customers. We believe the technology enhancements we plan to make will enable BlueLinx to become easier to do business with, so we can ultimately better serve our business partners and customers every day.

OpendockTM

BlueLinx has implemented Opendock, an online appointment scheduling system! This system allows carriers to easily schedule inbound appointments for our branch warehouses. With over 100,000 carriers nationwide already using Opendock, we expect a seamless transition.
A valid Purchase Order number is required to book using Opendock. If you have questions about booking an appointment, please contact the branch location for your inbound delivery.

Oracle Transportation Management (OTM)

Coming soon to BlueLinx!

One of our largest and most strategic initiatives in 2025 is the implementation of Oracle Transportation Management (OTM). We expect OTM to help optimize and streamline our transportation planning processes, automate tendering shipments to our approved common carriers, and automate freight billing through OTM’s “freight match and pay” process.
To help to inform and prepare our approved carriers for this transition, BlueLinx will begin distributing a series of communications with important information.

Preparing Carriers for OTM

BlueLinx will host a series of mandatory Carrier Onboarding sessions for both EDI and Non-EDI carriers. These sessions will share more details about OTM and our expectations of carriers once we are live. Additionally, Non-EDI carriers will be invited to attend a mandatory “OTM Carrier Portal” training session to learn about new requirements for accepting tenders, spot bidding, sending shipment status notifications, and initiating the freight match and pay process.

As we begin transitioning to OTM, the OTM Resources for Carriers page is available to provide helpful resources to all carriers.
