Fiberglass Mat Interior Solutions

DensGlass® Shaftliner is a unique area separation wall panel and a key component of an Area Separation Wall assembly for use in multi-family townhouses. DensGlass®Shaftliner consists of a moisture-resistant, noncombustible gypsum core (as defined and tested in accordance with ASTM E136 or CAN/ULC S114) covered with coated fiberglass mats that:

  • Provides enhanced fire resistance as part of a fire-rated assembly
  • Provides superior resistance to the elements
  • Resists the growth of mold (ASTM D3273)

DensArmor Plus® Interior Panels, which feature fiberglass mats instead of the paper facings used on the surface of traditional gypsum board products, resist mold growth (ASTM D3273).

  • Ideal for areas prone to high humidity like basements and residential bathrooms in commercial installations
  • Designed for direct attachment with screws or nails to wood and metal framing or existing surfaces

Fiberglass Mat Exterior Solutions

DensGlass® Sheathing, with its recognizable GOLD color, has fiberglass mat for superior mold and moisture resistance* compared to paper-faced sheathings

  • Replaces traditional paper-faced sheathing.
  • Backed with a limited warranty against delamination and deterioration for up to 12 months of exposure to normal weather conditions**

Tile Backer Board

DensShield® Tile Backer is designed for use as a substrate for tile walls, ceilings, countertops, and commercial and residential floor applications in high-moisture areas. The special moisture-resistant, treated core — covered front and back by fiberglass mats — is lighter than the leading cement board brands (based on 1/2” [12.7 mm] comparison). The unique construction makes it a preferred product for applications in high-moisture areas.

  • Built-in moisture barrier eliminates the need for an additional moisture protection in wet areas
  • Lighter than leading cement board brands, reducing effort
  • Scores and snaps using standard utility knife, unlike cement board that requires specialized tools

ToughRock® Gypsum Boards include paper-faced drywall panels for a wide range of interior applications, including fire-rated wall and ceiling assemblies, soffit and more.

ToughRock® Gypsum Sheathing is recommended for use in residential or commercial buildings as a substrate that is covered by a water-resistive barrier and cladding such as vinyl or fiber cement siding, masonry veneer, or wire lath stucco. It is designed for direct mechanical attachment to wood or steel framing.
