Supplier Diversity Small Business Concern Definitions
Small Business Concern
"Small Business Concern" means a concern, including its affiliates, that is independently owned and operated, not dominant in the field of operations in which it is bidding on Government contracts, and qualified as a small business under the size standards in this solicitation.
Small Disadvantaged Business Concern
"Small Disadvantaged Business" is a small business that is at least 51% owned, controlled and operated by disadvantaged persons as defined by the Federal Government's SBA guidelines.
Woman-Owned Small Business Concern
"Woman-Owned Small Business" is a small business that is at least 51% owned by a woman or women who are U.S. citizens and who also control and operate the business.
HUB Zone Small Business Concern
"HUB Zone Small Business" is a small business that is owned, controlled and operated by one or more U.S. citizens, who has a business located within a historically underutilized business zone and employs at least 35 percent of its workforce from residents of a HUBZone.
Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Concern
"Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business" is a small business that is at least 51%, controlled and operated by disabled veterans. The home office must be located in the United States and the home office cannot be a branch or subsidiary of a foreign corporation, foreign firm or other foreign-based business. A Disabled Veteran is a veteran of the United States Military service with a service-connected disability of at least 10% or more.
Veteran-Owned Small Business Concern
"Veteran-Owned Small Busieness Concern" is a a small business concern that is (1) not less than 51 percent of which is owned by one or more veterans or, in the case of any publicly owned business, not less than 51 percent of the stock of which is owned by one or more veterans; and (2) the management and daily business operations of which are controlled by one or more veterans.
